Your plant arrives 2–3 years old, already bloomed, and growing 9–24″ tall — a meaningful head start. Plant it in full sun and water frequently to keep blooms coming. Hardy in zones 5–10, this repeat-flowering shrub is self-fertile and welcomes bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and lacewings. Feed with rabbit or composted chicken or horse manure in spring and fall. Note that canes have thorns, so gloves are your friend at harvest.

Cut blooms hold beautifully in a vase for up to nine days — long enough for a ceremony, a dinner table, or just a Tuesday that deserves flowers.
