Hanxian is a repeat-blooming climbing rose bearing 4-inch flowers in warm coral-orange with more than 100 petals and a soft fragrance. It is often called Climbing Jul for its resemblance to the DA variety Jul (Ausjameson). Canes climb to 10 feet, suiting trellises, arbours, walls, and fences, and the plant flowers from spring through fall. Plant in full sun and water frequently. Feed with composted rabbit, chicken, or horse manure each spring and fall. Non-toxic, visited by bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects, and it cuts well for the vase.
Supplied as a two to three year old plant, 9–24 inches tall, that has already bloomed, potted in soil.
