Run your fingers along a stem of L. Harper and you’ll understand immediately why this garden rose has earned its place in wedding bouquets and backyard cutting gardens alike. A repeat-blooming variety that flowers from spring through fall, L. Harper produces long-stemmed cuts that hold beautifully in a vase for up to 10 days — generous by any rose standard.
Your plant arrives 2–3 years old, already bloomed, and ready to settle into its new home with soil included. Plant it in full sun and water frequently; roses reward consistency. Hardy in zones 5–11, this medium-growing shrub currently measures 9–24″ and will continue filling out with proper seasonal feeding. Top-dress with rabbit or composted chicken or horse manure each spring and fall to keep blooms coming strong.
L. Harper is self-fertile and genuinely attracts bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and lacewings — good company for any garden. It’s not invasive, not toxic, and yes, it does have thorns. Worth every one of them.
