Run your fingers along the canes of S. Rochas and you’ll notice something unexpected — no thorns. This repeat-flowering rose (Rosa ‘S. Rochas’) blooms from spring through fall, offering months of color from a plant that’s already 2–3 years old and has bloomed before, so you’re not waiting on a promise.
Plant it where it receives full sun and water it frequently to keep those blooms coming. Hardy across zones 5–11, it arrives at 9–24 inches with soil included and grows at a medium pace, eventually filling its space beautifully. Feed it with rabbit or composted chicken or horse manure each spring and fall — roses respond well to gentle, organic fertility. S. Rochas is self-fertile but truly thrives when bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and lacewings find it, making it a quiet hub of garden activity.
Non-toxic and non-invasive, this is a rose that earns its place without demanding too much in return.
