Close your eyes and imagine that sweetness drifting across a warm late-spring garden — that’s Peony ‘Immaculee’ (Paeonia lactiflora) announcing itself before you even see the blooms. Large, luminous flowers open in late spring to early summer on sturdy stems that hold up beautifully in a vase, and the fragrance is genuinely intoxicating — the kind that stops you mid-step.
Plant her in full to part sun in fertile, well-drained soil, and take care not to bury the eyes more than an inch or two below the surface — depth is everything with peonies. She’ll reach 24–36 inches tall and wide, hardy in USDA Zones 3–8, and here’s what makes her worth the patience: each passing year, established clumps bloom fuller and more generously than the last. Cut back to the ground after the first hard frost in fall.
Available for Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 shipping at the same price — choose the season that works best for your garden.
🍂 Shipping & planting window
Peonies ship in fall (September–November) when fully dormant and bare root. This is the only window we ship.
Fall planting gives roots a full season to establish in warm soil before winter. Cold stratification triggers strong, healthy spring growth and reliable bloom production. Spring-shipped peonies experience root damage during active growth, transplant shock during their bloom cycle, and often lose an entire growing season.
