A pink tree peony bearing large, layered blooms above deeply cut green foliage. Unlike herbaceous peonies, it holds a woody framework year-round and matures into a shrub 48–72 inches tall and 48–60 inches wide. It takes full sun to part shade in fertile, well-drained soil, sheltered from harsh afternoon heat and wind. Pruning is minimal: remove dead wood only. Hardy in USDA zones 4–7.
Supplied as a two-year plant, with root development already established.
🍂 Shipping & planting window
Peonies ship in fall (September–November) when fully dormant and bare root.
Fall planting gives roots a full season to establish in warm soil before winter. Cold stratification triggers strong, healthy spring growth and reliable bloom production. Spring-shipped peonies experience root damage during active growth, transplant shock during their bloom cycle, and often lose an entire growing season.
