Por Lac Rose: Dutch – Bred Blooms with Translucent Petals & Dreamy Color Gradients A spellbinding Dutch cut rose cultivated by Interplant and launched in 2014, Por Lac Rose (also called Multi – Head Pink) captivates with its translucent porcelain – like petals, soft salmon – pink to cream – white – pale green gradient, tight cup shape, and long – lasting vase life of over 12 days—all on a robust 80–120 cm shrub. Boasting 6–8 cm blooms that unfurl slowly, a sweet delicate fragrance, and an ethereal vibe, it’s a showstopper for bouquets, wedding decor, or garden focal points that crave fairy – tale elegance. Growing 80–120 cm tall with upright stems perfect for cutting, Por Lac stands out for its color evolution: it radiates exquisite pink from the center, fades to creamy white on the outer petals, and finishes with a barely – there pale green edge. The translucent petals look almost glass – like, glistening beautifully when dotted with water droplets, and the tight cup shape retains its elegance as it opens slowly—building anticipation for its full bloom. Its porcelain – like texture adds a luxurious, delicate touch that elevates any floral arrangement, while the slow – opening blooms let you savor its beauty longer. For optimal growth, plant in full sun (6+ hours daily) and well – drained, fertile soil to boost color vibrancy and petal translucency. Light late – winter pruning (cut back to 3–5 healthy buds per stem) and regular deadheading promote continuous flushes. Water deeply 1–2 times weekly, and feed with a phosphorus – rich rose fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season. To keep the pale green outer hue, provide partial afternoon shade in hot climates. This Dutch gem blends color magic, porcelain – like texture, and slow – bloom charm, turning any space into a haven of ethereal elegance.
