Niuyouguo Rose (Avocado Rose: Green-Yellow Transition Blooms with Lychee Scent) A sought-after Yunnan cut rose also known as “Cream Mustard,” Niuyouguo captivates with its unique color evolution, delicate lychee fragrance, and elegant presence—all on a sturdy 120 cm plant. Boasting 6–8 cm blooms that shift from yellow centers wrapped in green outer petals, to a uniform soft green as they mature, it offers a fresh, nature-inspired palette that stands out among traditional roses. The subtle lychee-like scent adds a sweet, fruity layer without being overpowering, making it perfect for bouquets, indoor displays, or garden borders that crave uniqueness. Growing 120 cm tall with strong, upright stems ideal for cutting, Niuyouguo shines with its dynamic color journey. Each bloom opens with a tender yellow core framed by crisp green outer petals, evoking the fresh hue of ripe avocados—hence its name. As it matures, the yellow gradually fades into the green, creating a seamless soft green finish that exudes tranquility. Green roses are celebrated for symbolizing new growth and harmony, adding meaningful charm to any arrangement. The faint lychee fragrance, a beloved fruity note in floral scents, enhances its appeal for scent lovers and casual admirers alike. For optimal growth, plant in full sun (6+ hours daily) and well-drained, fertile soil to enhance color vibrancy. Light pruning in late winter (cut back to 3–5 healthy buds per stem) and regular deadheading encourage continuous flushes. Water deeply 1–2 times weekly, and feed with a phosphorus-rich fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season to boost flower production. To preserve the initial green-yellow contrast longer, provide partial afternoon shade in hot climates. This Yunnan-bred gem blends color magic, fruity charm, and symbolic beauty, turning any space into a fresh, fragrant haven.
