Dan Rose, also known as Dan, ダナヒュー in Japanese, is an exquisite new English shrub rose in the UK. This compact, upright shrub reaches a mature height of 110 cm, forming a neat, bushy habit with dense, healthy green foliage. Its versatile growth makes it ideal for garden borders, mixed plantings, containers, and even shadier spots, perfect for urban gardeners and those with limited space. The blooms measure 6–9 cm in diameter, featuring 17–25 petals that create a graceful, layered appearance. What makes Dan truly captivating is its stunning color transition: buds start as deep apricot, gradually fade to apricot and caramel tones, and finally mature into a soft cream hue. The flower form evolves beautifully too — opening as a rounded globule, transitioning to an elegant cup shape, and fully unfurling to reveal bright yellow stamens that add a cheerful pop of color.
