Pearl guineas (*Numida meleagris*) are the classic helmeted guinea fowl variety, prized for relentless tick and pest patrol, sharp alertness to predators, and a personality that’s decidedly more independent and vocal than your typical backyard chicken. If you’re managing a property with heavy insect pressure or want a natural perimeter alert, these birds earn their keep.
Available May through September. Minimum order of 6 keets. Live birds ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express (typically 2–3 business days); limited regional door-to-door delivery available in parts of the Midwest. Different poultry types ship separately — each must meet its own minimum. A proper brooder setup is required before arrival.
Live Arrival and 48-Hour Livability Guarantee applies. Any losses must be reported by phone within 48 hours of arrival. Changes or cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM Central on the Friday before scheduled delivery. All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked. Hatch and ship dates may shift due to weather or safe-shipping conditions.
