Raise your hand if you’ve ever stood in a quiet backyard at dusk and heard that unmistakable two-note whistle — bob-WHITE. Bobwhite Quail (Colinus virginianus) bring that wild, grounding sound right to your homestead, breeding pen, or backyard flock.
These hatchery-sourced chicks arrive healthy and ready for a properly set-up brooder — warm, draft-free, and stocked before they land on your doorstep. Available June through September, with a minimum order of 100 chicks. Birds ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express (typically 2–3 business days), with limited regional door-to-door delivery in parts of the Midwest. Different poultry types ship separately, and each must meet its own minimum.
A few things to know before ordering: all live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked. Ship dates may shift for weather or hatch conditions. Sexing and exact timing aren’t 100% guaranteed. Any arrival or livability concerns must be reported by phone within 48 hours. Changes or cancellations require notice by 12:00 PM Central the Friday before scheduled delivery.
Good birds. Real commitment. Worth every bit of planning.
