The Rare Breed Sampler 6-Chick Pack brings a curated mix of uncommon, hatchery-sourced breeds to your backyard flock, homestead, or breeding pen, giving you a hands-on way to explore what rare poultry can offer in temperament, production, and character.
Because breed composition varies by pack, each order is its own small discovery. Birds are sourced through McMurray Hatchery and ship May through September for the 6-chick minimum; April orders require 15 chicks, and January through March requires 25.
Shipping follows USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express (typically 2–3 business days), with limited regional door-to-door delivery in parts of the Midwest. Different poultry types ship separately and must each meet their own minimum. A Live Arrival and 48-Hour Livability Guarantee applies — report any concerns by phone within 48 hours of arrival.
Have your brooder fully set up before your birds arrive. Changes or cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM Central the Friday before scheduled delivery. All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked.
