Pleioblastus viridistriatus

Dwarf green stripe. Brilliant gold leaves striped green, brightest when cut to the ground each spring. Groundcover scale, still a runner.

Running bamboo. This species spreads by underground rhizomes and will travel beyond where you plant it, including under a fence into a neighbour’s garden. Plan on a 60 mil HDPE rhizome barrier, or a large container, before it goes in the ground. We sell it because it screens faster and taller than anything else; we will not pretend it stays put.

Mature height: 2-4 ft. Habit: Running. Grown in the Pacific Northwest by Cascade Gardens.

Pickup only — not shipped. Collected in person at 1520 NE 146th St, Shoreline, WA 98155. You will receive pickup details and hours after checkout.
