1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Full name, email, phone number, and billing/shipping/pickup address;
• Photos, videos, and listings you upload;
• Payment information (processed by third-party providers; we do not store full card numbers);
• Pet or animal information for adoption, rescue, sitter services, or care coordination;
• Plant, fungi, or farm data submitted for care or services;
• Class or workshop registration and optional emergency-contact info;
• Vendor, sitter, walker, groomer, provider, or instructor details;
• Applications and forms for adoption, rescue, fostering, wildlife care, classes, and events; and
• Communications and support messages.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• IP address, browser and device information, and approximate location (city/state);
• Cookies and tracking data, usage analytics, pages visited and actions taken, and session information.

1.3 Provider / Instructor / Vendor Information

If you apply as a vendor, seller, sitter, walker, groomer, care provider, wildlife partner, or instructor, we may collect legal and business information, tax information, payout details, credentials, permits or licenses, uploaded class materials, and experience or background information.

1.4 Wildlife Rescue & Preservation

We may collect the approximate location of a rescue, species, condition, health and behavior information, wildlife permits or documentation, rehabilitation notes, and submitted photos or videos.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, except with appropriate parental consent where permitted (for example, a child attending a class with a parent). If you believe a child has provided us information without consent, contact info@phytu.com and we will delete it.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Marketplace & services: process and deliver orders, manage vendor and seller interactions, verify species and legal compliance, and provide customer support and confirmations;
• Animal & pet services: coordinate sitting, walking, grooming, training, and care scheduling, and match animals with adopters, fosters, or rescues;
• Wildlife rescue & preservation: respond to rescue requests, coordinate with licensed rehab partners, track welfare, and meet legal requirements;
• Plant, garden & farm services: provide care and maintenance, assign providers, and communicate service and safety details;
• Classes & workshops: reserve spots, send confirmations and reminders, provide materials or recordings, track attendance, and manage waitlists and follow-up;
• Platform operations: improve and personalize the Site, detect and prevent fraud, and support analytics; and
• Compliance: meet legal, safety, welfare, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. How We Share Information

• Service providers: payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), shipping carriers, email/SMS tools, analytics platforms, customer-support systems, and class/event hosting platforms (e.g., video conferencing).
• Providers, vendors & instructors: when you book a provider, register for a class, purchase from a vendor, or participate in rescue, adoption, or preservation — only the minimum necessary information is shared.
• Legal authorities: to comply with animal-welfare and wildlife regulations, court orders or subpoenas, or urgent safety threats.
• Safety & fraud prevention: to verify identity, prevent fraud, and ensure lawful use of services.
• Business transfer: in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Targeted Advertising, "Sales," and "Sharing"

PhyTu does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We do not disclose personal information to advertising partners to show you interest-based ads on other websites.

If this ever changes, we will update this policy before any such sharing begins, add a "Your Privacy Choices" opt-out link to our footer, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals where required, and notify you as required by law.

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, improve performance, personalize recommendations, analyze activity, and prevent fraud. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function.

Payments

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processors under their own security standards and privacy policies. We do not store full payment card numbers. Online transactions are transmitted through secure, encrypted gateways.

Data Security

We use reasonable security measures, including encryption, firewall protection, and access restrictions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for orders, class attendance, animal and wildlife welfare compliance, adoption and rescue documentation, vendor and provider records, tax and business regulations, and legal disputes. Certain records — such as wildlife rescue logs, adoption contracts, and legal compliance documents — may be retained as required by law.

Live Animals, Wildlife, Plants & Fungi — Special Notices

Domestic animals & pets: customers and adopters must ensure humane treatment, legal ownership and compliance, proper housing and care, and understanding of species-specific needs.

Wildlife rescue & preservation: we handle wildlife data responsibly for species identification, coordination with licensed rehab professionals, public safety and conservation, and legal documentation.

Plants, seeds, fungi & mushroom products: you are responsible for confirming species legality in your jurisdiction, proper care and cultivation, and local shipping and agricultural regulations. We may cancel non-compliant orders.

Educational Activities

When you join classes, workshops, or sessions, we may record sessions (with notice), share materials digitally, allow instructors limited access to participant names and emails, maintain attendance lists, collect feedback, and store participation data to improve future programs.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to your data, corrections, deletion (unless retention is required for legal, safety, welfare, or regulatory reasons), a copy of your data, and to opt out of marketing. Email requests to info@phytu.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by law, and will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

California residents: this policy is intended to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA).

Third-Party Links and Vendors

The marketplace contains listings and links controlled by independent vendors and other third parties. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing them information.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. New versions take effect upon posting, with a revised "Last Updated" date.
