Light Brahmas are a classic dual-purpose breed, known for their docile temperament and steady production of brown eggs. They’re cold-tolerant and slow to mature, but that patience pays off in a bird that’s reliably even-keeled with children, other breeds, and beginners alike. Considered a common breed, they’re an excellent starting point for a backyard flock or homestead setup.
Chicks are hatchery-sourced and available February through early July. Order minimums vary by month (25 in January–March, 15 in April, 6 in May–September). Changes or cancellations must be made by noon Central on the Friday before scheduled delivery. All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked.
