There’s something quietly powerful about growing your own wedding roses — snipping a deep red bloom still dewy from your garden, exactly when you need it. This cutting rose variety (Rosa) delivers rich, velvety red flowers with a light fragrance from spring through fall, making it a steady presence in any cutting garden or mixed border.
Your plant arrives 2–3 years old, already bloomed, and growing 9–24″ tall — a meaningful head start. Plant it in full sun and water frequently to keep blooms coming. Hardy in zones 5–10, this repeat-flowering shrub is self-fertile and welcomes bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and lacewings. Feed with rabbit or composted chicken or horse manure in spring and fall. Note that canes have thorns, so gloves are your friend at harvest.
Cut blooms hold beautifully in a vase for up to nine days — long enough for a ceremony, a dinner table, or just a Tuesday that deserves flowers.
