Alexanders is an old kitchen-garden herb with a flavour between celery and parsley. Stems, leaves, flower buds and seeds are all used. Sow in spring; harvest leaves in summer. Thrives in coastal and free-draining soils and self-seeds happily once settled, so one sowing can keep you supplied for years.
