Run your fingers along a stem of Schöne Maid and you’ll catch its signature scent before you even reach the bloom — a rich layering of ripe fruit and classic rose that stops you mid-step.
Each globular bud unfurls into a generous 4.2-inch cup-shaped rosette, petals graduating from soft blush at the edges into deeper purplish-pink at the heart, occasionally flushed with warm orange at the core. This is a repeat-flowering garden rose that clusters and keeps going from spring through fall, making it a reliable cutting rose for vases as much as for the garden.
Plant it where it receives full sun and water frequently. Hardy in zones 6–11 with good heat and disease resistance, it reaches roughly 40 inches tall. Feed with rabbit, composted chicken, or horse manure each spring and fall. Pollinators — bees, butterflies, ladybugs — will find it naturally.
Your plant arrives 9–24 inches tall, 2–3 years established, already bloomed, and comes with soil. Non-toxic, no invasive tendencies.
