You know that moment when you cut a bloom and it’s still opening three days later? That’s the Sweet Harper rose working in your favor. This garden rose (Rosa ‘Sweet Harper’) is bred as a cutting variety — each stem stays fresh in a vase for up to 10 days, making it a generous choice for both the garden and your kitchen table.

Your plant arrives as a 2–3 year old specimen, already bloomed and rooted in soil, sized between 9 and 24 inches. Plant it where it receives full sun and water it frequently, especially through dry Pacific Northwest summers. It blooms repeatedly from spring through fall and is hardy in zones 5–11, so it settles in beautifully here in Bellevue. Growth is medium and steady.

Feed with rabbit or composted chicken or horse manure each spring and fall. Pollinators — bees, butterflies, lacewings — will visit regularly. Not toxic, not invasive. Just a reliable, long-blooming cut rose worth making room for.
