Your bareroot plant arrives dormant in fall, 2–3 years old with 2–3 established branches. Expect 10–25 inches at shipping, growing to around 3 feet with spring’s new growth. Plant it in fertile, well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH, in partial shade. Water moderately during establishment — evenly moist, never waterlogged.
