There’s something theatrical about a bloom that measures nearly eight inches across — and Chiffon Elegance (Qiao Qi Sha) delivers exactly that, with silken petals in layered, ethereal tones that seem to catch every shift of light in a shaded garden corner.
This Rockii tree peony arrives as a dormant bareroot plant, two to three years old with two to three established branches. Shipped in fall when the plant is fully at rest, it settles into your garden during the season it was designed for — roots spreading into warm soil before winter triggers the cold stratification that produces reliable, vigorous spring blooms. By its first spring, expect growth reaching around three feet tall.
Plant in partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil on the neutral to slightly alkaline side. Water moderately during establishment, keeping soil evenly moist but never waterlogged. Hardy through USDA zones 4–9, it asks only for a light layer of mulch in colder winters.
Fall shipping runs September through November.
🍂 Shipping & planting window
Peonies ship in fall (September–November) when fully dormant and bare root.
Fall planting gives roots a full season to establish in warm soil before winter. Cold stratification triggers strong, healthy spring growth and reliable bloom production. Spring-shipped peonies experience root damage during active growth, transplant shock during their bloom cycle, and often lose an entire growing season.
This listing is for 50 plants at $55 per plant. A minimum of 100 LY Nursery tree peony plants is required per order. Shipping is included. Ships directly from the grower farm in China.
