There’s something quietly theatrical about a tree peony that blooms dinner-plate wide — and Century Star (Shi Ji Ju Xing) delivers exactly that. Each flower stretches nearly 10 inches across in soft, layered petals that feel almost too lush to be real.
This Rockii Tree Peony arrives as a dormant bareroot plant, 2–3 years old with 2–3 established branches. Shipped in fall at 10–25 inches, it can reach around 3 feet tall by its first full spring. Plant it in partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil that leans neutral to slightly alkaline. Water moderately — evenly moist through establishment, never soggy. Hardy in USDA zones 4–9, it asks only for light mulch in colder climates and protection from winter wet.
