October giving campaign · Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Grow Hope

Grow Hope is temporarily paused due to the founder’s ongoing divorce.
We sincerely apologize for the disruption. New donations are not eligible for Grow Hope plant, seed, or account-credit rewards while the campaign is paused. The campaign information remains available for reference, and we hope to resume when circumstances allow.

Tree peony seeds are included with every verified Grow Hope donation tier. These homepage photographs show mature tree peonies for inspiration; seed-grown plants can vary and are not promised to match the pictured cultivars.

Grow Hope thank-you tiers.
  • Any verified donation amount: complimentary tree peony seeds, while supplies last.
  • $29.10 or more to Pasado’s, Fred Hutch or SR3: tree peony seeds plus your choice of clumping bamboo or New Zealand flax (Phormium), while supplies last.
  • $29.10 or more to QUA4U: tree peony seeds, your choice of clumping bamboo or New Zealand flax (Phormium), and a $10 PhyTu account credit. The credit is exclusive to qualifying QUA4U donations and does not apply to donations to the other participating organizations.
Why this campaign. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is also the month our founder's mother was born. Both of them have been affected by the BRCA1 gene. When she passed, our founder's mother donated her body to the University of Washington School of Medicine. Fred Hutch Cancer Center also serves as UW Medicine's cancer program, which is why we have invited Fred Hutch to join this campaign.

Animal rescue and the environment are at the heart of this campaign because they are deeply connected. Animals depend on healthy land, water, plants, and ecosystems for their survival, while countless domestic and abandoned animals depend on people willing to protect and care for them.

PhyTu was built around plants and animals, so we want what we grow and sell to do more than brighten a garden. Through this campaign, we hope to turn something beautiful into meaningful support for animal rescue, environmental protection and restoration, and organizations working to protect the living world we all share.
We never handle the money. You donate directly to the organization from your own phone, on their own donation page. PhyTu does not collect, hold, or process any part of your donation, and takes no share of it. We only look at the receipt.
How verification works. Upload your receipt through the secure form. We store the submission as a private verification record and may send the receipt to the nonprofit you selected to confirm the donation. Once verified, you receive a confirmation email with the exact plant-pickup location and time. Altered, duplicated, reversed or unverifiable receipts do not qualify.

Participation status. SR3’s participation in this PhyTu campaign is still pending confirmation. QUA4U is from the team behind PhyTu; Pasado's Safe Haven is independent of PhyTu.

QUA4U advocates for people, animals, communities, and the environment when their voices or interests are overlooked or under-protected. Its mission is to bring attention to injustice, document and examine important cases, encourage accountability and stronger protections, connect people with helpful resources, and build greater compassion for those who cannot easily advocate for themselves.

Receipt verification & pickup. Submit the actual donation receipt through PhyTu's secure receipt form. The receipt is stored for verification and, when a verification contact is on file, sent to the named nonprofit so the donation can be confirmed. After the receipt is verified, PhyTu emails the donor the confirmed Bellevue pickup location and pickup time window. Plants are limited and available while supplies last.

Give once. Grow for years.

Every donation stays where you sent it. Tree peony seeds come with every verified tier; qualifying plant-tier donors choose either clumping bamboo or New Zealand flax (Phormium). Submit the receipt after donating directly to one of the organizations listed in this campaign.
