Sal Hol

A Hybrid Musk rose, it grows as a shrub or climber, derived from crossing Rosa ‘Ivory Fashion’ and Rosa ‘Ballerina’.Reaching 150–365 cm tall with a 120–182 cm spread, it features abundant branching, glossy deep green leaves and nearly thornless canes, simple to train when grown as a climber. Its single-form blooms (4–8 petals) measure 8–12 cm across. Buds carry soft peach-pink tones; newly opened flowers are creamy white blushed with pink, showcasing striking golden stamens that darken over time, fading to pure bright white.Flowers emerge in large clusters of 10–40, opening sequentially for a long bloom season from late spring through autumn. Blooms hold up well in heat and rain, with a subtle musky floral fragrance. It boasts outstanding disease resistance, with only occasional black spot risk. This award-winning rose earned the Monza Gold Medal (1979), Baden‑Baden Gold Medal (1980), Portland Gold Medal (1993), and entered the Rose Hall of Fame as World’s Favourite Rose in 2012.
