The purple climbing yam is a perennial vine that produces small aerial tubers (bulbils) along its stems — these are what you plant, not true seed. Give it a strong trellis and a warm, frost-free season; harvest bulbils in autumn. Note: this vine is regulated as invasive in Florida and parts of the southeastern US; we will only ship where it is permitted, and it should be grown where it cannot escape into wild land.
