There’s something quietly breathtaking about watching Princess Aiko open — tight, travel-compressed buds slowly unfurling into layered, apricot-peach blooms with the kind of depth that photographs can’t quite capture. Grown by Alexandra Farms, these garden roses arrive intentionally closed for safe transit, so give them time: trim one inch from each stem, strip foliage below the waterline, and set them in cool fresh water with flower food. Keep the cardboard sleeve on during that first 24–48 hour hydration period — it holds them upright while they rehydrate and bloom. Then step back and watch.
Each bunch includes 12 stems. Store away from heat, direct sunlight, drafts, and ripening fruit, which release ethylene gas and shorten vase life. Ships via $29 express on orders of $499 or more. Plan to order at least two weeks ahead; add an extra week for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
All perishable sales are final — but these are worth the commitment.
