There’s something luxurious about stepping into a garden where a rose is actually earning its place — and Pin Pie does exactly that. Its full, cupped blooms open to a generous four inches across, releasing a sophisticated fragrance that drifts across the garden from spring all the way through fall. This is a cutting rose in the truest sense: grown for bouquets, gifted at weddings, brought inside to sit on your kitchen table. You’re receiving a two-to-three year old plant that has already bloomed, currently standing nine to twenty-four inches tall and destined to reach a tidy three to four feet. Plant it in full sun with consistently moist soil, and feed it rabbit or composted chicken or horse manure each spring and fall. If you’ve been looking for a fragrant, large-flowered garden rose for cutting or landscaping in the, Pin Pie is worth knowing.
