There’s something quietly thrilling about planting a peony you know will still be blooming decades from now. Jacorma (Paeonia lactiflora ‘Jacorma’) is a classic herbaceous peony prized for its generously sized spring flowers and strong upright presence in the garden border — and one of its best qualities is that it genuinely improves with age. As the clump matures, blooms grow fuller and more abundant each year.
Plant in full sun to part sun in fertile, well-drained soil, and take care not to bury the eyes more than an inch or two below the surface — too deep and you’ll wait a long time for flowers. Hardy in USDA zones 3–8, Jacorma reaches 24–36 inches tall and wide, making it a natural anchor for a mixed border or a reliable source of long-stemmed cut flowers. Cut stems back to the ground after the first hard frost in fall.
Available for fall 2026 or spring 2027 shipping at the same price — choose whichever timing fits your garden calendar.
🍂 Shipping & planting window
Peonies ship in fall (September–November) when fully dormant and bare root. This is the only window we ship.
Fall planting gives roots a full season to establish in warm soil before winter. Cold stratification triggers strong, healthy spring growth and reliable bloom production. Spring-shipped peonies experience root damage during active growth, transplant shock during their bloom cycle, and often lose an entire growing season.
