There’s something quietly commanding about a bloom that fills your palm — and Noble Lady (Gui Fu Ren) delivers exactly that. Her flowers open to a generous 20 cm (nearly 8 inches) across, with the layered, luminous petals characteristic of Rockii tree peonies: white to blush tones marked at the base with deep magenta flares that seem to glow from within.
This is a deciduous woody peony built for the long term. Hardy in USDA zones 4–9, she arrives as a dormant bareroot plant, 2–3 years old with 2–3 established branches. She ships at 10–25 inches tall, then puts on a full flush of new growth in spring, reaching around 3 feet in her first season.
Plant her in partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil that leans neutral to slightly alkaline. Water moderately during establishment — evenly moist, never soggy. In colder climates, a light layer of mulch over winter is all she needs.
Fall planting gives her roots time to settle into warm soil before dormancy, setting the stage for a spectacular spring debut.

🍂 Shipping & planting window
Peonies ship in fall (September–November) when fully dormant and bare root.
Fall planting gives roots a full season to establish in warm soil before winter. Cold stratification triggers strong, healthy spring growth and reliable bloom production. Spring-shipped peonies experience root damage during active growth, transplant shock during their bloom cycle, and often lose an entire growing season.
