Koikogare Rose – Blush of Longing, A Pink Floribunda with Gradient Charm Introduced by Keisei Rose Garden in Japan, Koikogare (Japanese 恋こがれ), or “Longing for Love,” is a tender floribunda rose that weaves romantic gradient hues into every corner of your garden. True to its poetic name, it captures the soft, evolving emotions of longing with its delicate color transitions and effortless beauty. This vigorous shrub reaches a height of 90–120 cm, forming a bushy silhouette perfect for garden borders, mixed beds, or container plantings on patios. It bears abundant clusters of 4–6 cm blooms, each boasting approximately 20 rounded petals arranged in a charming semi-double bowl shape. The flowers showcase a stunning layered color palette: soft light pink at the heart, deepened to a rich pink on the outer petals, and gradually fading to a sophisticated dusty pink as they mature—creating a mesmerizing ombré effect that adds depth and romance to every bloom cycle. Complementing its visual appeal is a light, subtle fragrance that lingers like a gentle whisper in the air, making it ideal for gardeners who prefer understated sensory beauty. As a prolific repeat-bloomer, Koikogare ensures a continuous display of its romantic pink blooms from spring through fall, bringing the tender charm of “longing for love” to your outdoor space season after season.
