You know that moment when you cut a stem from your own garden and bring it straight to the vase? That’s exactly what the Kensington Garden rose (*Rosa* hybrid) is grown for. Its blooms have that classic, full-petaled structure prized in wedding and cut flower arrangements, staying fresh in water for up to 10 days — a quality you’ll genuinely appreciate come late spring.

Plant yours in full sun and water frequently; this variety performs best with consistent moisture and a spring and fall feeding of rabbit, composted chicken, or horse manure to fuel its repeat-blooming habit from spring through fall. Suited for zones 5–11, it arrives as a 2–3 year old plant (currently 9–24″) that has already bloomed, with soil included. Medium growth rate. Not invasive, not toxic.

It welcomes bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects — so it gives back to your garden as much as you give to it. Yes, it has thorns. Worth it.
