As an Itoh (intersectional) peony, Julia Rose inherits the best of both worlds: the large, lush blooms of tree peonies and the winter-hardiness and tidy die-back habit of herbaceous types. Strong stems hold flowers upright without staking, so this is a natural fit for borders, cottage gardens, and cutting gardens alike.
Grow in full sun to part sun, in rich, well-drained soil with regular moisture during active growth. Cut stems to the ground after frost. Reaches 24–36 inches tall by 30–48 inches wide. Hardy in USDA zones 3–8. Local pickup available upon request.
