Ant Gar rose plant large flower bush deciduous shrub

You’ll catch the fragrance before you even see the blooms — that’s the quiet magic of Ant Gar rose. This mature, 2-3 year old shrub arrives already having bloomed, so you’re stepping into an established relationship rather than starting from scratch. Plant her where she’ll soak up full sun and water frequently to keep those large, repeat-flowering blooms coming from spring through fall. She currently stands 9-24 inches tall, and grows at a medium pace — dependable without being demanding. Fertilize with rabbit, composted chicken, or horse manure each spring and fall, and she’ll reward you generously. Ant Gar is self-fertile and a natural gathering place for bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and lacewings — a deciduous shrub that supports your whole garden ecosystem.
