Crack open a Ameraucana egg and you’ll find something unexpected: a shell the color of a clear Pacific Northwest sky. These calm, curious birds are one of the more uncommon breeds you’ll find in a backyard flock, prized by small-scale keepers and specialty breeders alike for their genuine blue eggs and easygoing nature.
Available February through October, Ameraucana chicks ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express (typically 2–3 business days), with limited regional door-to-door delivery in parts of the Midwest. Order minimums apply: 25 chicks January–March, 15 in April, 6 in May–September, and 6 for Webster City hatchery pickup. Different poultry types ship separately, and each must meet its own minimum.
Your brooder must be fully set up before arrival. Inspect birds on delivery and report any concerns by phone within 48 hours. Changes or cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM Central the Friday before your scheduled delivery. All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked.
