One afternoon, several Washington rescues and wildlife groups in one place, and a simple deal: every donation of $20 or more to any of them comes with a plant to take home. Your money goes straight to the organisation you choose — PhyTu takes nothing.

Donate $20 or more, leave with a plant Your pick, while they last on the day: a New Zealand flax (Phormium tenax) or a clumping bamboo. Both are provided by PhyTu.

About the plants

Both the flax and the bamboo are provided by PhyTu, bought from MB Plants in Kent. The flax has grown in place for five years, so these are substantial plants, not plugs; the bamboo is a clumping type that stays where you put it.

Saturday 17 October 2026. Bellevue venue and hours to be announced here as soon as they are confirmed. Free entry; no purchase needed to come and meet the organisations. Bring something to carry a potted plant home in.

Donations are made directly to each organisation at their own table; ask them for a receipt. Plants are limited to one per donation while supplies last.
