Crack open a Cream Legbar egg and you’re rewarded with a soft, sky-blue shell — one of the more charming surprises a backyard flock can offer. These British-bred birds carry an active, curious energy that makes them engaging to watch and easy to work with, and their autosexing trait (chicks can often be sexed at hatch by down color) is genuinely useful for home flock planning.
Cream Legbars are an uncommon breed, available from February through early July. Order minimums vary by season: 25 chicks January–March, 15 in April, and 6 from May onward. Webster City hatchery pickup minimum is 6 chicks. Birds ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express (typically 2–3 business days), with limited Midwest door-to-door delivery available.
Live Arrival and 48-Hour Livability guaranteed — report any losses by phone within 48 hours of arrival. Changes or cancellations must be made by noon Central on the Friday before your scheduled delivery. Have your brooder fully set up before your chicks arrive.
