A creamy blush shrub rose. The bloom opens pale ivory-pink and carries a deeper rose flush along the outer petal edges, deepening in cooler weather. Flowers are full, cupped, three to four inches across, carried singly and in small clusters on a rounded shrub with matte medium-green foliage. The fragrance is moderate and fruity, with a raspberry note.
The canes are nearly free of prickles, which makes it far easier to cut and deadhead than most shrubs of its size. It is upright and distinctly taller than wide — four to six feet tall by three to four feet across when established. Disease resistance is exceptional, which is the main reason the line exists, and it repeats through the season with deadheading. Long sturdy stems make it a genuine cutting rose.
Plant in full sun with free-draining soil and water deeply and consistently — roses reward regularity more than volume. Feed with well-rotted rabbit, composted chicken or horse manure in early spring and again after the first flush.
Roses are not toxic to cats, dogs or people, and the open blooms are worked by bees, hoverflies and lacewings through the season.
