Xia Rose: Dümmen Orange Netherlands Cut Flower—Cherry Pink-Purple Gradient, 15+ Day Vase Life Meet Xia Rose (Little Cranberry Rose, 日文: サインオプシンパシ-), a delightful cut flower from Dutch powerhouse Dümmen Orange that’s as charming as its namesake! Standing at 80cm tall with sleek, sturdy stems, this variety enchants with 10cm blooms in rich cherry deep pink—tinged with a subtle purple undertone—that unfolds into a soft gradient: vibrant magenta edges gently fade into a lighter pink center, creating a fresh, fruity visual appeal (just like ripe cranberries!). Its blooms boast 40–50 thick, lush petals arranged in a relaxed shallow cup shape, with outer petals curling slightly outward and a whimsical “unstructured heart” (luan xin) that adds natural, carefree charm. Almost fragrance-free and endlessly charming, it’s perfect for brightening dining tables, bedroom dressers, or casual gatherings—infusing any space with romantic freshness that lasts over two weeks.True to its Dutch breeding heritage and similarity to the beloved “Girlfriend” rose, Xia Rose balances beauty and resilience: the cherry pink-purple petals are thick and velvety, retaining their gradient charm as they soften slightly with age—no harsh fading, just a gentle evolution of color. The relaxed shallow cup shape and curled outer petals feel approachable and romantic, while the dense petal count ensures the bloom stays full and shapely for 15+ days in a vase—far longer than most cut roses. As an almost scent-free variety, it lets its visual magic take center stage, making it ideal for scent-sensitive spaces or pairing with fragrant herbs like mint or lavender for a garden-inspired bouquet. At 80cm tall, its compact stems are perfect for small vases or mixed arrangements, adding a pop of fruity pink without overwhelming the space.
