Taoe

Taoe Rose Introduced in 2024 by the acclaimed Chinese rose breeder Jiang Zhengzhi, Taoe Rose is a versatile climbing/shrub rose that blends dramatic beauty with exceptional adaptability. Its name, meaning “Peach Calyx,” perfectly captures the charm of its peach-hued blooms, which evolve into a captivating purple-tinged masterpiece—making it a showstopping addition to any garden. This remarkable variety grows to an impressive height of 200–400 centimeters, with sturdy, upright branches that offer dual usage: train it as a climbing rose to adorn walls, arches, or trellises, or prune it back to maintain a compact shrub form for borders or large containers. Even when heavily pruned in autumn, it bounces back vigorously the following year with abundant blooms—a rare trait among climbing roses that sets it apart. The blooms are truly enchanting: starting as a rich, vibrant peach-red, they gradually fade to a soft purple blush as they mature, creating a stunning gradient that can be observed on a single plant. Measuring 8–12 centimeters in diameter, each flower boasts a full, pom-pom shape with delicate ruffled petals that add a whimsical touch. Best of all, the blooms are highly rain-resistant—they hold their shape beautifully even after downpours, ensuring long-lasting beauty. Emitting an intense, intoxicating rose fragrance with subtle musky undertones, Taoe Rose fills your garden with a rich, classic scent that lingers in the breeze. Its prolific flowering habit shines through multiple seasons: it produces clusters of blooms on both long canes and short branches, covering the plant in a sea of color from spring to fall. Whether trained as a climbing focal point or grown as a lush shrub, this rose transforms any outdoor space into a romantic retreat.
