Spores of shaggy mane (Coprinus comatus), hand-collected from wild specimens growing in a local park. The species favours disturbed soil, grassy areas, and wood chip beds, and fruits in cool, moist conditions — fall and early spring in western Washington.
Spore cultivation is experimental. Results depend on substrate, moisture levels, and local soil microbiome, and fruiting is not guaranteed.
