Savon Rose, bred by Makiko Kawamoto (Japan) in 2021, features 8cm creamy white blooms with soft pink-edged petals. Forming rosettes with visible “button eyes” and red stamens, it emits a rich myrrh scent blended with sweet, exotic freshness—echoing its French name “Savon” (soap). Heat-tolerant with stable flower color, the 90-120cm semi-upright shrub is robust, thorny, and moderately disease-resistant. Winner of 2022 Gifu International Rose Gold Medal and 2021 Echigo Hills Park Aroma Silver Medal; sold as “Xiangzao” or “Sabon”.
