Partridge Cochin Bantam

Picture a fluffy, round-feathered chick that will grow into one of the most endearing birds in your backyard flock — the Partridge Cochin Bantam is as gentle as it looks.

With their richly patterned partridge plumage and famously calm, cuddly temperament, Cochin Bantams are a natural fit for families, mixed flocks, and specialty breeding programs. They’re uncommon enough to turn heads at poultry shows, practical enough to earn their place as light-brown egg layers, and sweet enough that your kids will want to hold them daily. These are birds you’ll actually enjoy spending time with.

Available April through early August, with a minimum order of 15 chicks (10 for Webster City hatchery pickup). Birds ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express — typically 2–3 business days — with limited regional door-to-door delivery in parts of the Midwest. Live Arrival and 48-Hour Livability Guarantee applies; any concerns must be reported by phone within 48 hours of arrival. Changes or cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM Central the Friday before your scheduled delivery. Have your brooder fully set up before your chicks arrive.

All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked.
