This Rockii tree peony arrives as a dormant bareroot plant, 2–3 years old with 2–3 established branches, ready to root deeply into your garden before winter sets in.
Plant it where it receives partial shade and give it fertile, well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH. Water moderately during establishment — evenly moist, never soggy. In colder parts of its range (USDA zones 4–9), a light layer of mulch protects the crown without smothering it. Come spring, expect plants to reach around 3 feet tall, crowned with flowers measuring nearly 7 inches across.
