Mar

Mar Rose (Auspink English Legend Rose) Japanese メアリー・ローズ. This iconic English shrub rose delivers timeless old-world garden romance, perfect for cottage borders, scented garden focal points or premium cut flowers. Reaching 120–150 cm, it develops a full, well-branched bush with glossy green foliage that highlights its substantial blooms. Each 10–12 cm flower holds 55–65 delicate petals formed into a lovely rosette, quartered bloom shape reminiscent of antique heirloom roses. Blossoms show soft vibrant pink with subtle cool blue-purple undertones that shift as blooms mature, retaining a gentle blushing tone. It carries a well-rounded moderate fragrance: warm myrrh base mixed with sweet honey and fresh apricot blossom. A dependable repeat bloomer from spring through autumn. It grows well under full sun or light partial shade in well-drained soil. Light late-winter pruning removes dead wood and shapes the shrub to boost vigorous growth and heavy flowering. Combining classic beauty with solid garden hardiness, this rose is a treasured pick for romantic English-style gardens.
