Crocosmia (Crocosmia spp.) sends up arching stems of red-orange blooms in late summer and is a reliable hummingbird plant. It takes full sun to partial shade and moderate, well-drained soil with regular water through the growing season, and is drought-tolerant once established. Clumps spread and thicken year to year, suiting borders and cottage plantings. Offered as plants and corms.
