There’s something wonderful about opening a brooder box to a chorus of peeping — and the Fly Tyer’s Special Chick Assortment gives you exactly that, with a curated mix of breeds selected for variety, vitality, and the kind of backyard flock character you can’t plan your way into. Egg color, temperament, and breed rarity will vary by package, making each order its own small surprise.
Available February through early July, these hatchery-sourced chicks arrive healthy and ready for a properly set-up brooder — warm, dry, and waiting before they land on your doorstep. Order minimums apply by season: 25 chicks January–March, 15 in April, and 6 from May–September. Webster City hatchery pickup minimum is 6.
Chicks ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express (typically 2–3 business days), with limited Midwest door-to-door delivery available. Live Arrival and 48-Hour Livability guaranteed — report any concerns by phone within 48 hours of arrival. Changes or cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM Central the Friday before scheduled delivery. All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked.
