Cartonnage Rose, bred by Makiko Kawamoto at Kawamoto Rose Garden (Japan) and released in 2018. It grows to 120cm tall, with 7-8cm blooms in vintage red-purple, forming button rosettes. Medium fragrance. The name comes from the impression of roses painted on fabric used in traditional French craft “Cartonnage”. It’s a repeat bloomer with strong vigor, growing as a semi-prostrate shrub that flowers generously.
