There’s something wonderful about a breed that just gets on with it. The Buff Rock is a dual-purpose heritage chicken valued for steady brown egg production and a calm, cooperative temperament that makes her a pleasure in mixed flocks, family backyards, and small homesteads alike. Her warm golden plumage and unhurried disposition set her apart from flashier breeds — this is a bird you’ll rely on season after season.
Buff Rock chicks are available February through early July, sourced from a hatchery with Live Arrival and 48-Hour Livability guarantees. Order minimums vary by month: 25 chicks January–March, 15 in April, and 6 from May onward (Webster City pickup minimum is 6). Birds ship via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Express, typically 2–3 business days, with limited Midwest door-to-door delivery available.
Have your brooder fully set up before arrival. Changes or cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM Central the Friday before your scheduled delivery. All live-animal sales are final once fulfillment is booked.
