There’s something dramatic about a tree peony that blooms dinner-plate wide — and Blushing Horizon (Lan Yu San Cai) delivers exactly that. Each semi-double flower opens to a generous 6.3 inches across, its petals blushing with the soft, layered depth that Rockii tree peonies are celebrated for.
You’ll receive a dormant bareroot plant, two to three years old with two to three branches, arriving 10 to 25 inches tall. Come spring, expect it to reach around three feet as new growth emerges. Plant yours in fertile, well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH, in a spot with partial shade. Water moderately during establishment — consistently moist, never waterlogged. Hardy through USDA zones 4 to 9, it handles cold winters beautifully; just mulch lightly in colder climates and ensure good winter drainage.
Rockii tree peonies are among the longest-lived flowering shrubs you can grow, often thriving for decades with minimal fuss. Local pickup available upon request.
🍂 Shipping & planting window
Peonies ship in fall (September–November) when fully dormant and bare root.
Fall planting gives roots a full season to establish in warm soil before winter. Cold stratification triggers strong, healthy spring growth and reliable bloom production. Spring-shipped peonies experience root damage during active growth, transplant shock during their bloom cycle, and often lose an entire growing season.
This listing is for 50 plants at $55 per plant. A minimum of 100 LY Nursery tree peony plants is required per order. Shipping is included. Ships directly from the grower farm in China.
