issei

Issei Rose (Japanese イッセイ), a 2021 release from Japan’s Keiji Kunieda of WABARA, is a sport of the beloved “Miyabi” rose. Reaching 80cm tall, it bears 8-10cm blooms that transform dramatically from bud to full flower: starting as apricot-amber with soft pink outer petals, and unfurling into a unique four-part rosette center. It carries a delicate tea fragrance, and its bloom cycle was named to mirror the ebb and flow of life, per its breeder. A charming addition to any garden for its dynamic floral display.
